Here are six places to eat oysters in Nassau County.

Top Hat Oyster Bar & French Quarter Kitchen Bedford Ave., Bellmore: This Cajun/Creole food and cocktail restaurant serves eight oyster dishes, including Cajun Oyster Casino, Oyster Bienville, and Oysters Rockefeller.

Vinny G. of Plainview said in a Yelp review, "Oysters, oh those oysters!. I tried the sampler, one Rockefeller, one Bienville, and one char-grilled. All outstanding and as good as anything I've had at Acme in the Quarter."

Canterbury's Oyster Bar & Grill, 46 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay: This is a cozy American bistro with photos on the wall of Teddy Roosevelt. They serve "creative comfort American fare" mainly seafood, according to the restaurant.

The place was awesome. Oysters were superb and the workers were on top of their game. Will be back without a doubt," Ray Qbee in a Google review said.

"Had great assorted oysters," notes a Google review by John Garber.

Bigelow's Seafood, 79 N. Long Beach Road, Rockville Centre: Seafood counter joint with grilled and fried seafood and fried oysters on the apps menu. They only accept cash.

Renae Carr says in a Google review, "A magnificent Long Island staple. I do the fried oysters and half-order shrimp or clam strips. I can emphatically state that in 25 years' I've never been disappointed."

Vincent's Clam Bar, 179 Old Country Road, Carle Place: Blue Point Oysters are on a full page of apps in this classic Italian restaurant 

Says Angel O. of Queens on Yelp, "Starting off with mussels in white wine, some oysters, cold seafood, etc. Oysters were great, we probably each ate a dozen of them."

Asahi Hibachi Sushi Edit, 161 Union Ave., Lynbrook: This is an authentic Japanese restaurant that serves fresh oysters when available so call first.

It will be worth checking, according to this Yelp post by Michelle M. of Westbury. "Oysters were fresh that day so we got an order and it was amazing, it was our favorite dish."

Aperitif Bistro Lounge Wine Bar, 242 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre: It's a French brasserie with Mediterranean and Asian inspired food and a raw bar.

A recommendation on their Facebook page by poster, Carol Bell calls the place, "Fabulous, fabulous, and more fabulous."
